New Forge Cottage | Self Catering Holiday Cottage in West Penwith, Cornwall

New Forge is placed in a quiet and secluded corner of the hamlet of Tregiffian only three miles from the rugged beauty of Land’s End and only a short walk to the lovely surfing beaches of Whitesand Bay in Sennen and Gwenver. Lots of attractions are also nearby like the Minack open air theatre at Porthcurno, the Geevor and Levant mine museums at Pendeen, the ancient sites of Men an Tol and the Merry Maidens, the world heritage mining town of St Just, the famous artists and galeries towns of St Ives and Penzance with St Michael’s Mount nearby. Not to forget the Coastal Path that can be hiked all around the Penwith peninsula between Penzance and St Ives including such  amazing spots like Mousehole, Lamorna, Porthcurno, Land’s End, Cape Cornwall and many more. Other famous Cornish attractions (Lizard peninsula, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and more) are only a 1-2 hours drive away.

Converted and rebuild with individual flair to a high standard of comfort in 2010 New Forge offers everything for a self catering holiday by the sea. Downstairs you have plenty of space with a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. There is also a generous size light twin bedroom, a beautiful bathroom with shower and bathtub, the entrance and the utility space with washing machine. Upstairs is the spacious main double bedroom with good storage space and  beautiful views to the hills. Attached are an en-suite WC and a small studio that can be used as a retreat or as a bedroom for your little one(s).

New Forge features underfloor heating driven by a modern air source heat pump system. There is also a lovely wood burning stove to ensure you’re cosy through the winter or just when you fancy the joy of a real fire after a day roaming the cliffs. Lots of electric light sources including LED downlight spots offer different aspects of individual lightning within the different areas of the house.

The shelfs are filled with hundreds of books, CDs and DVDs, so you need to book for a whole year or need to come back for 25 years to get through ! Of course you also have TV and radio as well as WiFi broadband coverage.

The garden to the side and rear is a quiet spot enjoying great privacy from one’s neighbours with plenty of space to sit, relax and chill, let your dog out or having diner at the open barbecue.
